	2009
	12^th December was the date of our Christmas Fair where plenty of visitors helped swell our coffers at one of our annual events.
	11^th December Many of our members attended the Christmas Carols at Everton Church organised by the Lymington Group WI’s and our president and treasurer both had readings.
	9^th December Scrabble Club started with the promise of fortnightly meetings if we have enough willing members
	8^th December Barton on Sea Golf Club was the venue for our evening Christmas Dinner enjoyed by most of our members with their guests
	1^st December was our Christmas tea with quizzes and competions as well as the big Christmas Draw
	3rd November Our AGM saw the re-election of the president and treasurer with a new secretary and more members to the committee
	30^th October Our practise paid off and our team finished third in the Area Skittle match at Pennington
	28^th October Skittle practise for our Institute team followed a pub lunch at the Walkford.
	21^st October Our annual Harvest Lunch, with food prepared and served by the committee, was very well received by all members and guests
	6^th October This brought us a Skin Care demonstration to our monthly meeting, with lots of samples to try
	7^th September Another pub lunch, but this one was our fist disappointing trip out
	2^nd September Two teams of WI members (and one of supporting husbands) took part in the village annual quiz, which we managed to finish quite high up in the results table.
	1^st September Monthly meeting with light entertainment and general discussion
	27^th August Bad weather forced our American Supper back into our hall, as the president’s garden was too wet to take the chair and tables
	4^th August A cream tea instead of the monthly meeting was held at the home of out Vice President
	28^th / 29^th / 30^th July Saw a few of us welcoming visitors to the W I tent at the New Forest Show
	21^st July Another Pub Lunch for our members and guests, this time at the Wheatsheaf
	13^th July New Forest Show meeting at Pennington explained our ‘jobs’ whilst stewarding at the show.
	7^th July A very entertaining comedienne had us all in stitches at our monthly meeting.
	24^th June The Lymington Group of WI’s held their elimination round of the County Quiz in our hall, with our gallant team finishing in the middle of the results table.
	3^rd June National AGM at the Albert Hall was attended by some of our members
	2^nd June At our monthly meeting we had a cookery demonstration, but the food baked had to be tested by willing volunteers
	28^th May For the second year we held our WI Fun Quiz with 7 teams taking part and a win for the current champions
	19^th May We hosted another Cream Tea for visitor around the New Forest
	5^th May In the evening, we had a celebratory meal at Barton on Sea Golf Club which was greatly enjoyed by everyone.
	5^th May Our monthly meeting saw us all unanimously voting to ask our delegate to vote for “S.O.S. for Bees” at the AGM and then we had tea and Birthday Cake.
	4^th May Our 90^th Birthday Exhibition attracted a large number of visitors coming to see our ideas of what had changed over the last 90 years. Davy Lamps and flat irons to iPods and moving picture frames all on show.
	23rd April Another Pub Lunch in New Milton at the Rydal with over two dozen attendees
	7^th April One of our members, Chris Buckley, told us all about the objects and the work of the Inner Wheel,
	31^st March We hosted a large group of 50 to a Cream Tea in our hall, after the had enjoyed a trip around Lymington and a tour around the Forest
	18^th March A pub lunch at the Three Bells, across the road from our hall, which had recently been renovated, was enjoyed by a large group of us.
	5^thMarch A group from the Institute went to see the Calendar Girls show in Southampton, which we all enjoyed.
	3rd March Our March speaker was unable to make our meeting, so a general meeting with poetry reading and a short quiz was quickly organised.
	3^rd February Due to the snow and the treat of freezing temperatures, our February meeting had to be cancelled
	13^th January First outing of the year to MJ’s , the restaurant connected to Brockenhurst college, where we all enjoyed a superb meal which had been prepared and then served by the students.
	6^th January Our first meeting of the new year with our new secretary telling us all about the tradition of ‘First Footing’ in Scotland and giving us all a taste of Black Bun, Cloutie pudding, shortbread and a tot of whiskey (which went very well with the members !)
